Read the employer identity and the application route. Look for consistency between the vacancy and the organisation’s own public information.
Be cautious about requests for banking details, payment or identity documents at an early stage. A normal initial application should not require those details.
Use official channels to clarify an unexpected request. Take time to check rather than treating urgency as a reason to skip the question.
